February 2020 We spent 5 very busy weeks in Guatemala, meeting with our teachers and visiting all the schools. We outfitted 3 of the new preschools with chairs, tables, rugs, white boards, educational materials, etc. We now have seven preschools, three after-school tutorial programs, and one weaving project. Wendy is 4 years old and started going to a Project Quetzal preschool in Buena Vista in Sololá in January of 2019. Her teacher, Irma, took this video of her "reading" Froggy Goes to School in September of 2019. Buena Vista is a small indigenous pueblo, and most of the people who live there speak only the Mayan language, Kaqchikel.
